Wig Comfort & Fit

Will wearing a wig damage my own natural hair?

No, wearing a wig will not damage your hair. In fact, many women find that wearing a wig gives their natural hair a break from heat styling and chemical treatments, allowing it to grow back healthier. For added protection, we recommend using a soft wig cap.

Can the wig be adjusted to fit my head size?

Yes, most premium wigs from WigBeauty come with adjustable Velcro or elastic tabs in the back/bottom of the cap. These allow you to tighten or loosen the fit by up to 2.5cm. If your wig still feels slightly loose, you can further secure it with professional hairgrips or clips. For petite head sizes, you may have to purchase specific styles made in a "petite" cap size.

Can I wear glasses or sunglasses with my wig?

Yes, absolutely. Most of our designer wigs (like Jon Renau and Ellen Wille) feature "open ear tabs." These allow the arms of your glasses to slide comfortably underneath the wig fibers for a secure and natural feel.

Do I really need a wig cap?

While not mandatory, many women prefer wearing a nylon or bamboo wig cap for extra security and to keep the wig cleaner for longer. If you have long natural hair, a cap is essential to secure your hair flat against your head for a realistic silhouette.

Can I sleep in a wig?

Yes, you can sleep in a wig, but this is generally not recommended. Sleeping in your wig reduces its lifespan, causes significant tangling, and limits your scalp's ability to breathe.

Wig Care & Maintenance

How do I take care of my synthetic wig?

Can I use regular supermarket shampoo on my wig?

NO! You must only use products specifically formulated for synthetic wig fibers. Regular shampoos contain chemicals that can strip the luster from synthetic hair and cause permanent tangling. Because you only need a tablespoon of professional shampoo per wash, our specialized products are very economical.

Can these wigs be cut or styled by a hairdresser?

Yes, but we recommend extreme caution and only minimal trimming. While a fringe can be trimmed to suit your face shape, we do not suggest heavy cutting as it may affect the pre-set style or curl pattern. If you need a trim, we recommend visiting a stylist experienced in alternative hair cutting. Please note: there are absolutely no refunds or exchanges for damages caused by cutting or styling.

Can I use heat to style my synthetic wig?

On certain wigs, yes. You can heat-style synthetic wigs only if they are labeled as heat-friendly or "HD" (Heat Defiant), typically up to 180°C. Regular synthetic wigs will melt if exposed to heat, so only use steam or low-heat tools on specifically designated heat-friendly types.

Can I wear my new wig straight out of the box?

Most of the time, yes! However, if your wig has been in its packaging for a while, it may have "cold set" creases. To fix this, simply spray the area with cool water, shake the wig gently, and let it air dry naturally. This immediately restores the original volume and beauty of the style.

What is the best way to store my wig?

To maintain the cap shape and style, WigBeauty recommends using a collapsible wig stand or a Styrofoam head. If you are traveling, you can store your wig in its original box, provided it is folded carefully to avoid creases.

How do I choose the right wig color online?

Colors can appear differently on various computer monitors and phone screens. At the WigBeauty studio, we use official brand color rings to help you find a match. Common industry standards include:

• Color 30: Light Auburn
• Color 44: Salt and Pepper Gray

Can I return or exchange my wig?

For hygiene and health reasons, WigBeauty has a No Refund or Exchange policy on all worn wigs and hairpieces. This ensures that every customer receives a brand-new, untouched product. We encourage you to choose carefully and reach out for assistance before finalizing your order.

We will accept a return for a wig that has not been worn, altered in any way, and is returned in the original box with all tags intact.
