Choosing Your Wig Colour

One of the best things about wigs is the wide variety of colours available. You can match your natural shade or try something completely new.

A helpful starting point is your eyebrow colour, as this often creates the most natural look. Your skin tone (complexion) is also important. The right level of contrast between your hair colour and complexion helps frame your face beautifully.

• Fair complexions can suit soft blondes, warm browns, or deeper shades for contrast.

• Medium or olive tones often glow with rich browns, chocolates, or warm highlights.

• Deeper complexions can look stunning with dark browns, jet black, or warm lighter tones for added dimension.

 The amount of contrast you choose is a personal preference — subtle for a natural look, or stronger for more impact.

Each wig brand has its own colour chart, and shades may vary between manufacturers. While colour charts are available on our website, please note that colours may appear slightly different depending on your screen settings.

Do You Need to Match Your Natural Hair?

Not necessarily. When wearing a full wig, you are covering your entire head, so you are free to choose any shade you love. Many wigs feature beautifully blended, multi-dimensional colours that create a natural, healthy, youthful appearance.

What Is a Colour Ring?

A colour ring is a set of hair swatches provided by each manufacturer, showing the exact shades available for their wigs. Since each brand produces its colours differently, the same number (for example, 8 Light Brown) may vary slightly between companies.

Head Shapes

Wig Size

Most women wear an Average size wig. This generally fits head measurements between 21” and 22½” (53–57 cm), which is the standard size for most wigs on the market.

Most wigs also include adjustable straps inside the cap, allowing you to slightly tighten or loosen the fit for added comfort and security.

If your head measures:

• 20”–21” (51–53 cm) – you may prefer a Petite size

• 22½”–24” (57–61 cm) – you may prefer a Large size

We offer Petite, Average, and Large options where available to help you find the most comfortable fit.
